Artistic Director Cronology

Sala Classical Ballet & Performing Arts Studio was opened in September 2004 by Adriana P. Sala-Mascari and Edward A. Mascari.

The SCB Studio encompasses the classical ballet program based on the Vaganova Technique and offers a one mid-term evaluation and the final term evaluation is based on a stage performance. The transition from professional student to professional dancer is achieved within the eight grades of Vaganova Technique.

Adriana P. Sala-Mascari teaches the classes and creates/choreographs original works for the Sala Classical Ballet students.    Students of SCB have the opportunity to develop their skills, learn the fundamentals of the performing arts and acquire other dance disciplines and styles.

Mrs. Sala-Mascari considers the importance of tradition, culture, good manners, etiquette, respect and discipline.  

Sala Classical Ballet offers classes for the non-professional dancer. These workshops include: Latin Rhythm (free style), Fitness-ballet, and belly dance, which promotes recreational health.

Note: Please see our classes schedule for temporary workshops. Classical Ballet is a full year program from September to June.  

SBC outreach program
SCB offers 1 full scholarship and 2 half scholarships every year for serious students from 9 years old and up. Class audition is held in the fourth week of August.

  • Sala Classical Ballet has given nine scholarships for serious students in Ballet previous free class audition contributing the full training of these students.

Workshops as complement of the SCB dance program

  •  November 22, 2008 SCB offered to their students the Isadora Duncan's Workshop directed by Lori Belilove who is the Artistic Director of the Isadora Duncan Company and Foundation .    

Promoting Students for Ballet & Performing Arts

  • In 2005, Mrs. Adriana Sala-Mascari encouraged a parent to send her daughter to a NYC audition with the Universal Ballet Academy of Washington, DC (Kirov Ballet Academy Branch) Mr. Oleg Vinogradov; Artistic Director saw a promising talent in this student and sent her an acceptance letter to attend his summer workshop .   
  • In January of 2007 Sala Classical Ballet & Performing Arts Studio opened their door to promote the performing arts and had as a guest, Mr. Peter Sklar who is a Broadway based coach, writer and composer. Five students of SCB were chosen to join his Summer Camp in NYC and London
